Purpose | Recover and deploy dataloggers, osmosamplers and the Octopipi water sampler from coastal caves in the Yucatan Penisula Mexico
Location | Yucatan Peninsula Mexico
Summary | Collected 30 water samples manually and 20 water samples using the Octopipi water sampler. Additionally, collected Osmosampler coils (2x), tilt meter current data (2x), DO datalogger data, water level data (2x), rain gauge data, and atmospheric pressure data.
Info derived | Geochemical data from anchialine caves
Comments | This investigation is being led by Texas A&M University at Galveston PhD student David Brankovits. John Pohlman, Brankovits' PhD student is providing assistance in the field. The field work is land based. Researchers Pohlman and Brankovits traveled to the study site by vehicle. Diving and sampling gear was carried to the study site with the assistance of a guide. No physical platform was required for this study.
