Also known as MBARI Tusk Cruise
Purpose To locate and recover the second half of a mammoth tusk found on an unnamed seamount 200 nm offshore just south of Monterey Bay. Ferromanganese crusts and nodules will also be recovered for age comparison to the FeMn crust accreted on the tusk. Video will be collected and exploration for any other fossils.
