Monitoring and assessment of an autonomous carbonate system deployed 60 miles offshore of Tampa Bay, FL. The Ocean Carbon System (OCS) site will be visited routinely, approximately monthly, for equipment maintenance/service or more frequently should instrumentation troubleshooting be required.
Location
Gulf of Mexico
Summary
Ultimately, data obtained from this system will be used in time series measurements of carbonate system parameters including: water temperature (°C), conductivity (siemens), pressure (dbars), salinity, pHT (pH on the total scale), carbon dioxide (ppm), dissolved oxygen (micromol/L), and photosynthetically active radiation (microEinsteins).
Info derived
Instrument functionality and accuracy.
Comments
OCS version 3. This FAN will also be used for subsequent site visits.
