Comments
14 properties south of OKLA 3-1 site, 2 m north of red-roofed home property line. Trades were blowing from the ENE at 20-30 knots, with gusts to 40, and had been for several days. Some scarping present as a result. Between 4 and 7 pm (moderate tides, moderate to large fetch waves), six locations along Kailua Beach were sampled at 2 regions of the beach face. In most cases, samples labeled #1 are the upper 5-6 cm of sand collected ~0.5 m makai of the vegetation line; #2 is the upper 4 cm of sand collected from the high swash area. The swash was a bit steeper than usual, so samples were taken rather high on it rather than at mid-swash.
