The objective of this project is to conduct a coordinated research and monitoring effort on coral reef communities in the Caribbean, Gulf of Mexico, and Florida Keys. The research and monitoring will provide better understanding of the impact of global change on coral reef systems as well as a basic understanding of the physical and biological processes and interactions that are impacting the health of coral reefs and their ability to respond to changing conditions. The research and monitoring results will be incorporated into technical reports, map products, data sets, and peer-reviewed publications that can be used to guide policies and management decisions. |
