Field Activity 2021-005-FA

Identifier 2021-005-FA
Purpose Geophysical mapping, sediment sampling and photographic characterization of mine spoils on lake floor
Location Big Traverse Bay, Lake Superior
Summary Collected multbeam depth and backscatter data along 375 kms (14 sq kms) of survey lines using a Reson T20-P Dual-head multibeam sonar 5-11 August. Collected bottom photographs, video and grab samples at 94 locations using the mini-SEABOSS.13-16 August.
Info derived  Bathymetry, backscatter, sediment distribution, texture and composition, bottom video and photographs
